DESCRIPTION
NipoClad Acrylic is a water-based environmentally-friendly liquid applied acrylic polymer coating which can be used in a wide range of applications including:
1. Waterproofing
2. Vapour-proofing
3. Concealing unsightly hairline cracks
4. Sound Absorption
5. Anti-carbonation
RECOMMENDED USES
• Concrete substrates
• Metal substrates
• Clay roof tiles
• Refurbishment of old roofs
• Vertical wall
ADVANTAGES
• Water-based, non-toxic – registered as a GREEN product with Singapore Environment Council
• UV resistant
• Liquid applied acrylic elastomeric membrane
• Easy to apply
• Bridge cracks - a good sealant to fill building cracks
• Mould and Fungus resistant
APPLICATION – For Horizontal Surfaces
Surface Preparation
Ensure surface is clean from dust, oil, rust, grease, loose materials, moss etc.
Surface should be dry for homogeneous material quality.
New concrete must be cured for at least 28 days.
NipoClad Acrylic can be applied using brush or roller.
Priming
Dilute NipoClad Acrylic 3:1 with clean water as the priming coat.
Allow approximately 1 hour for priming coat to dry. Where substrate is old and porous, prime twice.
Coating
Once the priming coat is dry, apply the 1 neat coat of NipoClad Acrylic at a rate of approximately 0.5kg per coat.
While it is still wet, embed the Nipo Glassfibre Netting into the wet NipoClad Acrylic.
Allow the coat to dry for 1 to 2 hours. Once it is dry, apply the second coat of
NipoClad Acrylic at right angle to the earlier coat to completely cover the Nipo Glassfibre Netting.
Apply a final coat of NipoClad Acrylic to achieve a thickness of at least 1.0mm. Allow to cure for 24 hours.
APPLICATION – For Vertical Surfaces
• Metal roofs
• Old roof tiles
• Metal gutters
• Existing or new external walls
Surface Preparation

Old concrete / brick walls – to remove peeling paints and jet washing.
Metal surface – to wire brush or abrasive blasting. Timber surface – dry and free from oil residue.

Minimum 3 coats.
Application should be made at right angles to the earlier coat. Samples may be provided to Applicator to determine suitability of product on different surfaces.
COVERAGE
For 0.5kg of NipoClad Acrylic, it can cover about 1m2 per coat.
Hence, a 20L (equivalent to approximately 25kg) pail can covers about 50m2 per coat.
PACKING
NipoClad Acrylic comes in 20L pail and 200L drum.
NOTES
Actual Measurement may vary due to the condition of the substrate. This information is only a guide.
