Cautions
FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY
• Thoroughly read all technical data sheets, application guidelines, warranty disclaimers and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) prior to use.
• Wear safety eye protection when applying. Contact with eyes may cause irritation. Flush eyes with water for 15 Minutes, if symptoms persist seek medical attention.
• Wear safety gloves.
• Until cured, may irritate eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and or prolonged contact with skin. In case of contact, flush thoroughly with water.
• Material should be kept in a cool dry place prior to application
• Product must not freeze.
Mock-ups and field test areas are required in order to validate performance and appearance related characteristics (including but not limited to color, inherent surface variations, wear, anti- dusting, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, stain resistance, coefficient of friction, etc.) to ensure system performance as specified for the intended use, and to determine approval of the decorative flooring system.

INSTALLATION
Suitable substrates/Surface
Suitable substrates such as concrete (G30), polymer modified screed, resinous surfaces etc. The substrate should have a minimum cohesive strength of 1.5 N/mm², free from laitance, loose adherent, oils, grease and previous sealer, curing compound which might have adverse effect to the bonding of the subsequent coating finish.
Surface Preparation
Prepare surface by mechanical grinding or scrubbing with diamond grit 80 – 100 is recommended to achieve CSP 2 in according to ICRI Technical Guide 310.2, SSPC – 13 or where appropriate. The prepared surface should be free from oils, grease or adhesion barriers, cracking, pores or bug holes etc.
Mixing
Mechanical mixing is required for Guard EA. A low speed drill mixer is recommended. Stir component A & B individually first for about 30 seconds. Mix part B slowly and add in part A. Continue to mix for 2 - 3 minutes. Mix until homogenous in colour. Cover unused mixture tightly and use within 2 hours.Always stir before use. DO NOT add in other liquids in to the mixture.
Application
Recommended tools for applications - rubber squeegee, medium pile roller or sponge roller and brushes. Surface temperature should be at 5°C to 35°C and atmospheric relative humidity should be below 90% during the application. Thinning is strictly not recommended as it will compromise the optimum performance of the material.
Curing
Guard EA is self-curing. The curing time is depending on the ambient temperature, humidity and the quantity mixed and placed. Under normal circumstances initial curing will take place an hour after application. The coating require 7 days for full chemical curing.
Safety, Health and Enviroment Impact
Working crew is strongly recommended to wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as chemical glove, breathing device, safety goggle, to avoid contact with the chemical during the application. Sufficient ventilation is essential during the application for enclosed facilities in particular.
WARRANTY
Subject to the conditions and limitations stated below, LATICRETE South East Asia Pte Ltd warrants that its products will be free from manufacturing defects and will not break down or deteriorate under normal usage for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase when installed in accordance with the written specifications of LATICRETE and industry standard guidelines.
MAINTENANCE
The long term performance, appearance, and life expectancy of wear surface products are critically dependence upon a good routine maintenance program designed specifically for the installed wear surface. Anti-slip textured epoxy floor coating systems might trapped dirt and contaminants onto the surface. The use of properly placed walk-off mats, inside and outside, will help increase the life of the floor. Recommend maintenance program consist on frequent and through cleaning utilizing a neutral pH cleaner (e.g. Simple Green®). Frequency of washing will vary depending on floor usage type, traffic and age.
